Automóvel Globais - is specialized in the sale of automobiles and
related services.
The group operates in the
following sectors:
- import of cars and parts
(71.3% of net sales): 48,143 new passenger and light utility vehicles sold
in 2001 (13.9% market share), principally Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda;
- sales to private individuals
(18.3%): through shares in 6 dealerships, Castelimo (Volkswagen, Skoda
and Audi), JM Seguro (Volkswagen), Justocar (Volkswagen and Audi), Carlar
(Skoda), Cervag (VW and Audi) and Rolporto (VW and Audi). Approximately
7,000 new cars were sold in 2001;
- long-term rentals (8.2%):
management of a car fleet of 3 577 vehicles in 2001;
- other services (2.2%):
short-term vehicle hire (franchise chain Sixt Rent-a-Car in Portugal),
maintenance contracts, insurance broking and specialist bank services (Interbanco).

GEST - 2006 Half Year results (Consolidated & Individual)
SAG Group achieved a consolidated
net profit of € 7.4 million at the end of the 1st semester of 2006,
a 10.9% increase vs. the same period last year. On the other hand, EBITDA
totaled € 23 million, a 25.3% increase vs. the first six months of
2005. |
