The MAN Group is one of Europe´s leading suppliers of capital goods and systems in the fields of commercial vehicle construction, mechanical and plant engineering. Worldwide, MAN has 75,000 employees generating sales of approx. € 16 bn (75 % abroad). In 1986, Maschinenfabrik Augsburg Nürnberg and sections of Oberhausener GHH, both old-established companies associated for a long time, gave rise to the Group with its present legal structure as a so-called "contractual undertaking".
