ANNOUNCES TOM KING AS CORPORATION PRESIDENT, BILL MORROW AS UTILITY PRESIDENT
AND CEO
New Heads of Public Affairs
and Corporate Relations Also Named
(San Francisco) – The board
of directors of PG&E Corporation today elected Thomas B. King as president
of PG&E Corporation, effective July 1, 2007. King is currently chief
executive officer of the Corporation’s utility unit, Pacific Gas and Electric
Company. He will assume the role of president from Peter A. Darbee, who
will continue to lead the Corporation as chief executive officer and the
chairman of the boards of directors.
In his new role, King will
be responsible for overseeing the Corporation’s existing utility business
as well as strategic growth opportunities. He will continue to report to
Darbee.
