The Group's principal activities are to provide sea borne transportation services through carrier vessels. They carry dry bulk cargo which includes iron ore, coal and grain, collectively referred to as major bulks and steel products, fertilizers, cement, bauxite, sugar and scrap metal, collectively referred to as minor bulks. The Group provides services usual market rates and included technical management, such as managing day-to-day vessel operations including supervising the crewing, supplying, maintaining and drydocking of vessels, commercial management regarding identifying suitable vessel charter and sale/purchase opportunities and certain accounting services. As of 31-Dec-2006, its fleet consisted of 17 dry bulk carriers, comprised of ten Panamax and seven Handymax vessels, representing a carrying capacity of approximately 1,005,000 dwt.
