The
Group's principal activity is to supply telecommunication services to business
and residential customers in Poland. It operates in two segments: Fixed
LineTelecommunications and Mobile Telecommunications. Fixed Line provides
local, long distance domestic and international public telephony services;
it also includes leased lines, radio-communication and other telecommunications
value added services such as call management packages, information and
ISDN services, including fast Internet access and sells telecommunications
equipment. Mobile Telecommunications services are provided by PTK-Centertel,
a provider of DCS 1800, GSM 900 and UMTS mobile telecommunications who
operates two mobile telephony networks: the digital 'Orange' and the analogue
NMT450i 'Centertel'. The Group operates in one geographical segment, the
territory of the Republic of Poland.
