The Group's principal
activities are development and selling components and products to industrial
companies and the service industry. The Group operates in the following
four segments: Components, Transmission, Equipment and Life Sciences. The
Components segment markets and sells components and sub-systems and develops
solutions in connection technology. The Transmission segment markets and
sells components and sub-systems based on mechanics, electro-mechanics
and hydraulics to customers in manufacturing industry. The Equipment segment
markets and sells materials, components and equipment primarily to the
vehicle and engineering industries. The Life science segment markets and
sells instruments and consumables to laboratories in health care and research,
diagnostic equipment for the health care industry and process and analytical
equipment for industry.
