The Group's principal
activities are divided into four business segments: Individual life insurance
business, Group life insurance business, Accident and health insurance
business and Corporate and other. The individual life insurance business
segment engages primarily to the sale of insurance and investment contracts
to individuals and comprises participating and non-participating business.
The group life insurance business segment engages primarily to the sale
of insurance and investment contracts to group entities and comprises participating
and non-participating business. The accident and health insurance business
segment engages primarily to the sale of accident and health insurance
and accident only products. The corporate and other segment engages primarily
to income and expenses in respect of the provision of the services to CLIC.
Operations are carried out in China.
