Depuis sa création
en 1980, GIMV est devenue le principal fournisseur de capital-risque et
créateur d’entreprises en Belgique et, de ce fait, est aujourd’hui
un des grands acteurs du marché européen et international.
GIMV investit aussi bien dans la technologie d’information et de communication,
que dans des entreprises de biotechnologie ou de capital de croissance
et des Management Buy-outs (MBO’s) d’entreprises dans des secteurs traditionnels,
et ce, tant en Belgique qu’à l’étranger. Avec la combinaison
des entreprises de son propre portefeuille et des activités de fonds
pour des tiers, GIMV aujourd’hui gère plus d'1,4 milliard d'euros.
GIMV est cotée à l'Euronext Brussel depuis 1997.

: Business update : first 9 months of the 2006 – 2007 financial year

As
GIMV will make the transition this year from a financial year from 1 April
to 31 March, the current financial year will be extended to 31 March 2007.
Consequently the publication dates for the half-yearly and annual results
have been adjusted. In addition, GIMV has opted to provide a quarterly
update on its activities without however publishing a complete result.
All figures in the press release below refer to figures according to the
limited consolidation of GIMV (non-audited figures)[1].

Fonds Vlaanderen et Life Sciences Partners investissent ensemble 11,5 millions
d’euros dans le premier tour de table (Series?A) d'ActoGenix, une start-up
belge de biotechnologie et spin-off de l'Institut interuniversitaire flamand
pour la biotechnologie (VIB). GIMV et Life Sciences Partners sont les deux
principaux co-investisseurs.
